Part II to the Maze Runner song "When the Darkness Comes."
lyrics
Pull me up, pull me in, safe and sound
Over fields of all the lands that we had laid.
Pushing like air through all the cracks
Of every stone and every wall
that ever dared to block our way.
With the first victory comes the first defeat-
I should have known that none of this was meant to stay.
Wicked's the world, so relentless in it's ways.
They'll give you hope just to rip it all away.
I should have known, I should have known-
Are we ever gonna make it home?
It burns like a fire, it burns like a fire
The hope that's deep inside my bones.
I'm terrified of who I am and what I've done.
My redemptions something I will never know.
But when nothing we do even matters anymore,
All that matters are the things we choose to do.
But I should have know, I should have known-
Are we ever gonna make it home?
It burns like a fire, it burns like a fire,
The hope that's deep inside my bones.
I should have known, I should have know,
I promised you we'd make it home...

After I discovered GUNSHIP with UNICORN, I went through all their material in a rush. They're whole discography is great, and I think this is the greatest. This album haunts me. I can't listen to it once. Even if I turn it off, I still hear it echoing in the back of my mind. GUNSHIP has a mastery of the bridge that reaches the level of mastery in this album that's just unrivaled. If you get only one album from GUNSHIP, get this one. Mailanka
